Governor Abbott Touts Efforts at the Border

(WBAP/KLIF) — As the border crisis continues with the Biden administration’s open border policy, Texas has stepped up to spend $3-billion on border security. Governor Greg Abbott says thousands of Texas National Guard troops and DPS agents aren’t enough to stop the tide. He says the state already has contractors in place to erect the wall and border residents are even donating their land for its construction.

Texans are fed up with President Biden’s immigration policies. As 2-million illegal immigrants are expected to enter the U.S. this year, some Texas border residents are donating their land for border wall construction. Abbott says border security was achieved by President Trump. With contractors in place, the state of Texas gears up to finish the border wall that the Trump administration began. The governor is in the final stages before border wall construction begins.

Governor Abbott joined WBAP’s “Rick Roberts Show” to explain how his efforts are panning out along the border. The governor has also constructed a number of thousand-bed jail facilities and hired enough magistrates to process arrests. The state has expanded border security efforts to deal with wave of drugs, illegal guns, and migrants entering Texas

Thousands of Texas National Guard troops and DPS agents were dispatched to the border in July to conduct operation “Lone Star”.
