Pediatric Group Says COVID-19 is Rising ‘Exponentially’ Among Children

Undated (WBAP/KLIF) – The American Academy of Pediatrics says that nearly 226,000 COVID-19 cases were reported in children nationwide last week.

The group says the spread of the delta variant has continued to increase “exponentially,” and now accounts for nearly 26% of all cases reported in the US; the rise is attributed to unvaccinated students returning to classrooms.

In a related note, a new Dallas Morning News / UT-Tyler poll finds that half of all Texans survey thing that masks should be required in all K-12 schools. A quarter of the 1,148 people surveyed said that individual school districts should decide.
