KAUFMAN COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF) – The Kaufman County Sheriff’ Office is investigating a deadly overnight shooting that prompted two Forney ISD schools to cancel classes for the day.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday in the 6100 block of Falcon Way, north of Forney city limits. Officers found a male victim at the location that had been shot several times and was deceased.
The Sheriff’s Office said the victim has not been identified and there is no suspect information at this time.
Due to the size and location of the crime scene Wednesday classes at North Forney High School and Smith Intermediate were called off.
