
DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A 40 year veteran of Dallas Fire Rescue is the first Dallas firefighter to die from COVID-19.
According to DFR, 62-year-old David Leos passed away on Thursday afternoon after being hospitalized with COVID since mid-July. His family said he wasn’t vaccinated for the virus.
Leos leaves behind a wife, eight children, and a brother who is also a Dallas firefighter.
Leos drove the engine assigned to fire station 41.
