Some students in DISD will now have an in-home learning option.
The district hopes this new option will appeal to folks who are nervous about sending their kids back to school for fear of catching the virus. It’s also for those kids who may be too young to get the vaccine and those who are medically fragile. Virtual learning was taken off the table by many districts after house democrats staged a walkout which killed a Texas bill that would have funded virtual school learning.
