Fort Worth ISD Joins Dallas ISD in Defying the Governor

(WBAP/KLIF) — Another major North Texas school district comes out in defiance of the Governor.  Students in the Fort Worth ISD will join those in Dallas ISD in being required to wear masks during the upcoming school year.  Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Kent Scribner implemented a mask mandate for all district buildings and buses.

At Tuesday night’s school board meeting, Scribner announced that the district would follow a recommendation from 125 Cook Children’s physicians.

Forth Worth joins Dallas ISD in violating Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order which allowed parents to decide whether or not their children should wear masks.

All students and staff will be required to wear masks in all district buildings and on buses this school year.
