DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- The Biden Administration issued a new eviction moratorium that remains in effect through Oct. 3.

The cdc announced a limited eviction moratorium for renters living in communities experiencing substantial or high transmission of Covid-19, covering an estimated 80% of all U.S counties and 90% of all renters.

The moratorium requires renters to provide their landlord with a signed declaration form to be covered and does not relieve renters from their obligation to pay rent eventually.

The order, which cites the rise of the delta variant, says: “Without this Order, evictions in these [higher transmission] areas would likely exacerbate the increase in cases.”
