PARKER COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking the public’s help to find the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run in Parker County last week.
Investigators said 38-year-old Katie Derouin of Paradise was hit after she ran into the eastbound lanes of SH 199 near South Drive just west of Springtown last Thursday around 10:10 p.m.
Witnesses told authorities that the suspect, who is believed to have been driving a red Toyota Camry, initially stopped close to the scene but left before police arrived.
The car will have damage to the front and passenger side. The part number of the mirror found at the scene indicates the car to be a 2009-2011 model.
DPS is asking residents and business owners in the area with security cameras to look at the footage around 10 p.m. July 29th for any clues.

DPS is also asking automotive body shop owners/employees that have information about the crash or who were in the area at the time to contact Trooper Shin.
