FARMERSVILLE (WBAP/KLIF)- The Collin County Medical Examiners office says 22 year-old Ethan knight of Mesquite and 35 year-old Deric Tarver of El Campo were the victims of the gas pipeline explosion northeast of Dallas. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The workers were subcontractors for Atmos Energy and were conducting maintenance at a site north of Farmersville, a natural gas facility off Highway 78. Two others who were injured were taken to a hospital. Collin County Sheriff Jim Skinner said the explosion appeared to be an accident but he invited the FBI to assist in the investigation. It was not immediately known what caused the blast.
