Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – Former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke‘s has launched ‘Texas Drive for Democracy,’ a voter registration drive that stopped in Denton County Monday.
During comments before an enthusiastic crowd gathered at North Lakes Park, O’rourke spoke out against Texas Senate Bill 7; and praised Democratic State Rep. Michelle Beckley who joined her colleagues in opposing the bill before the end of the legislative session.
O’Rourke’s aim is to register as many Democrats to vote as he can across Texas.
Meantime, there was at least one heckler in the crowd whoe called O’Rourke an “‘f-word’ traitor the the constitution.”
