KENT, WA (WBAP/KLIF News) – Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark Bezos will fly on Blue Origin’s first human space flight next month.
Blue Origin is Bezos’ private launch company.
The billionaire made the announcement early Monday morning.
The brothers will join an auction winner on the journey. Bidding for the seat on New Shepard has already reached $2.8 million with almost 6,000 contenders from 143 countries.
The craft will launch from Van Horn, Texas, about 100 miles east of El Paso.
Blue Origin has been testing the six-person capsule since 2012.
