Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott has received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump.
In a written statement Trump said, “No one has done more to secure the border and keep our communities safe than Governor Abbott. Trump added that Abbott is a staunch defender of the 2nd Amendment and has made Texas a 2nd Amendment sanctuary state.”
But, at least one Texas Republican is not happy and expressed her thoughts in Facebook post.
Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther became a staunch critic of Abbott after being arrested and jailed for defying COVID-19 restrictions last year.
She wrote, in a Facebook post, “Let’s make one thing perfectly clear, I am a huge fan of Donald Trump, but he got this one wrong. Greg Abbott is a horrible leader and is not worthy of being governor of the Great State of Texas.”
Luther created a private Facebook group called, ‘Fire Abbott.’
