The Texas Legislature Is Ready To Pass New Voting Laws

Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas legislators are bracing for a final weekend vote on Republican sponsored new voting laws that many analysts say will be the most restrictive in the U.S. A sweeping bill finalized Saturday would eliminate drive-thru voting, reduce polling hours, and scale back Sunday voting. To become law the changes have to be approved before the GOP-controlled Legislature adjourns at midnight Sunday. Republican Governor Greg Abbott has already said he will sign the voting measure when it gets to his desk.
