(WBAP/KLIF) — A seven-hour stand-off with an armed fugitive ended after a SWAT team swarmed the building.
Bedford police were called to a Shell convenience store and gas station after reports of a suspect who was armed and dangerous. Officers evacuated the building, but the suspect, 33 year old Malcom Baily, barricaded himself inside.
After hours of negotiations failed, SWAT team members flushed the man from the building with tear gas. Baily was arrested for stealing a truck, a parole violation, among other charges.
According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, authorities believe Baily was involved in a South Tarrant County police chase earlier in the day.
