(WBAP/KLIF) — The Army announced, Friday, that disciplinary action has been taken against 21 Fort Hood officers connected to the death of Vanessa Guillen.  Commanding General Michael Garrett released the report, Friday.

Guillen was murdered last April after she was bludgeoned to death by a fellow soldier and was missing for about two months before her remains were found.
the punishments, which include firing six senior commanders, are the latest Army moves in response to Guillen’s disappearance and death.

The killing brought to light widespread leadership failures at Fort Hood which resulted in high rates of sexual assault, harassment, and drug use.
