FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- A new soccer complex is planned for the City of Fort Worth.
After conducting a study, the City of Fort Worth found people were traveling outside of the city for youth and professional sporting events and the city wasn’t bringing any visitors for such events.
Councilmember Cary Moon said the study also revealed $16 million a year in economic impact the city can capture by opening up a complex that would compete regionally with other cities.
The proposed complex will have 16-20 fields, a large field house and a 4 thousand seat stadium.
