Rangers Open Season with Fans in the Stands

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Fans were allowed inside Globe Life Field in Arlington Monday for the first Rangers game with a crowd in attendance at the new stadium. The stadium’s inaugural year was shortened because of the coronavirus pandemic, and played without fans.

A nearly sold out crowd made its way into Globe Field Monday afternoon for the Rangers opener vs. Toronto.

“It was nice to have real voices and real cheering going on in the stands,” a fan said.

“We’re just ready to watch some baseball,” another Rangers fan said. “They’ve got some guidelines inside the stadium and we’re good with that.”

The concession stands remain cashless and fans are required to wear masks when not eating or drinking inside the stadium.
