Gas Prices Drop in North Texas

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texans are paying the 3rd lowest price per gallon for gasoline in the country. AAA Texas released it’s weekly report this week and indicates that the average price per gallon of regular unleaded is $2.61, which is 26-cents cheaper than the national average.

For the second week in a row the statewide gas price decreased in Texas.  The highest price in the Lone Star State is found in El Paso at $2.95, while the cheapest is in the Sherman-Denison area at $2.44 a gallon. regular unleaded is $2.55 in Dallas and $2.54 a gallon in Fort Worth.

AAA Texas reports that the price at the pump dropped two cents per gallon compared to last week. However, that price is 88-cents higher than this time last year.
