PLANO (WBAP/KLIF News) – As the North Texas Food Bank continues to provide meals to struggling families across the region, a local organization has stepped up to temporarily increase the non-profit’s reach.
The Lesley Family Foundation is tripling donations up to $85,000 through March 29.
The Dallas-based organization was founded in 2002 and has given million of dollars to non-profits.
According the NTFB, a gift of $30 will provide enough food to feed a family of three for an entire month.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020, organizations nationwide have seen a dramatic increase in need due to widespread layoffs and salary cuts.
