BOULDER, Colo. (WBAP/KLIF News) – Police in Boulder, Colorado have identified a 21-year-old man as the suspect in the deadly mass shooting at the King Soopers grocery store that claimed the lives of 10 people Monday.
Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said Ahmad Alissa remains in custody and will be transferred to the Boulder County Jail upon release.
Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said Alissa is facing 10 counts of murder.
Chief Herold started the Tuesday morning press conference, by reading the names of the victims aloud. The men and women range in age from 20 and 65 years old.

One of the victims is 51-year-old Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley, who was one of the first officers on the scene.
The 10-year veteran left behind seven children.
Investigators said they’re working to determine a motive for the massacre.
Colorado Governor Jared Police said law enforcement will get justice for the families of the victims.
“”We will hold the evil doer responsible to full extent of the law…and we will always remember the victims of the King Soopers shooting,” he said.
