Collin County Reopens COVID Vaccine Appointment Portal

MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – Collin County officials announced on Thursday that the county is reopening registration for the COVID-19 vaccine. The county closed the online portal earlier this year because demand significantly outweighed supply.

“The Collin County Vaccine Wait List is now complete,” said Collin County Judge Chris Hill. “Collin County and its vaccine partners are expected to vaccinate or schedule vaccination appointments for the last remaining individuals on the wait list by the end of this week.”

The Collin County vaccine appointment portal will open for any person eligible for Phase 1A, Phase 1B, and all teachers on Friday. Additionally, all individuals ages 50 and above will be eligible to make a vaccine appointment beginning Monday, March 15. The state expanded vaccine eligibility to category 1C earlier this week to include anyone ages 50 to 64.

Eligible individuals are encouraged to visit the Collin County COVID-19 vaccine web page for links to the Collin County appointment portal and partner agencies’ websites.
