DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — As of Wednesday, March 10, there will be no mask mandate in Texas but independent of state government, businesses can and will keep the rules in place.

According to a report by WFAA grocery chains across Texas will continue to require employees and shoppers to wear nose and mouth coverings for the forseeable future.

Albertsons/Tom Thumb/Randalls stores issued a statement explaining the company’s concern for the health and safety of workers who haven’t been vaccinated and the consumers they serve in their stores.

Similar statements were issued by Kroger, ALDI, Sprouts, Target and H-E-B/Central Market. So far there have been no announcements of policy changes or maintaining mask requirements by Costco, Walmart/Sam’s Club or Whole Foods.
