Oncor Electric Hit With Two Lawsuits Amid Fallout From February Blackouts

Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – Oncor Energy is the latest electric provider in Texas to be hit with a lawsuit in connection with last month’s historic power crisis.

The family of a Waco who died in a hospital a day after being found frostbitten and barely alive in his home is seeking compensation from Oncor.

The lawsuit requests that a jury decide if the family deserves compensation for the death of 68-year old Elzie D. Ford … an if so, how much.

In Houston, the family of 73-year od Katherine Birdwell, is seeking 10-million dollars from Oncor. She died after losing power to her oxygen machine during the crisis.
