Dallas To Enact Mask Mandate After State Mandate Expires

(WBAP/KLIF) — The state wide mask mandate in Texas will be lifted next week, however the city of Dallas enacted one of their own.  Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson signed a new city mask mandate, Thursday, set to begin when governor Greg Abbott’s order expires.

Johnson says “masks are one of the most effective tools we have for halting covid-19’s spread and mutations….we cannot afford to let down our guard yet.”

Johnson doesn’t want to lose ground to COVID-19 and has ordered everyone to wear face coverings is required inside all city buildings.  The mayor is asking all Dallas businesses to do the same.
