Arlington ISD Employees Receive Invite to Get Vaccinated for COVID-19 Monday

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – On the heels of the federal government’s decision to put teachers, substitutes, staff and child care workers on the eligibility list to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, all Arlington ISD employees have been invited to get the shot next week.

According to a letter posted on Facebook by district Board of Trustees member Justin Chapa, on Monday March 8th, employees can get the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine via the Arlington Fire Department.

The letter told staff they would receive an email with a one question survey that needed to be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday in order to be eligible to reserve an appointment.

Employees were told to register through AISD’s process even if they’ve registered with Tarrant County Public Health or another vaccination provider.

Superintendent Marcelo Cavazos told staff the district understands there are many questions that need answering when it comes to getting vaccinated.
