Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Research shows Dallas County is on track to reach herd immunity this summer. Steve Miff is CEO of The Parkland Center for Clinical Innovations and says the timing depends on the continued accessibility to the vaccine. But, Miff says according to the forecast model, if the county does 65,000 vaccines a week herd immunity will happen by mid-June. He says if the average weekly vaccinations falls closer to 40,0000, the date of reaching herd immunity would be closer to August.
