AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – Five members of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas Board of Directors have resigned.
The Public Utility Commission of Texas released a filing showing that four unaffiliated directors from the Board of Directors resigned.
The filing also showed one candidate to be on the board has withdrawn from consideration.
Anger from Governor Greg Abbott and the public in general toward ERCOT has grown since the agency cut power to millions of Texas in frigid temperatures during last week’s winter storm.
Many have questioned ERCOT’s lack of preparation ahead of the storm.
Several people have died from suspected hypothermia trapped inside their freezing home without power.
