NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The severe winter weather blanketing North Texas this week has forced many North Texas school districts to switch to virtual learning this week.
Most districts are closed Monday for President’s Day and are urging families to pay attention to the district’s social media or websites to keep up with weather-related changes.
Arlington ISD announced it will hold virtual classes Tuesday.
Fort Worth ISD is switching to virtual classes Tuesday and offering teachers participating in professional development courses online Flex classes Monday.
The district said it will monitor the weather to determine whether to open for in-person or virtual classes Wednesday through the rest of the week.
Other districts, like Garland and Irving ISDs, have announced plans for the entire week.
