Southlake (WBAP/KLIF) – A traffic stop involving a speeding driver in Southlake over the weekend resulted in the discovery of stolen mail.
Southlake DPS stopped Joshua Albright on Carroll Ave., just north of ST 114 early Sunday.
The car was missing a license plate, and officers say Albright also produced a fake drivers’ license.
Inside the vehicle officers observed open cans of beer, and upon further inspection they found stacks of stolen mail.
Over 150 pieces of mail from Colleyville, Irving, Carrollton and Addison were recovered — several 1099s, W2s and other tax forms were included in the haul of mostly junk mail.
Albright faces felony charges.
GREAT ARREST! On Sunday 2/7, at around 3:15am, officers stopped a car around 1100 North Carroll for speeding and not having a license plate. The driver of that car, Joshua Albright, handed officers a fake driver’s license and also had an open can of Steel Reserve beer.
