FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- For the second time in less than a year, a Fort Worth Police officer has been fired for publicly posting what the department says is racially insensitive content.
Newly installed Police Chief Neil Noakes told new partner WFAA-TV that three year veteran Chadwick Hughes brought justified unfavorable criticism to the department and the department will continue to hold officers accountable to a high moral standard.
The termination follows an internal affairs investigation with Hughes posting racially insensitive content on Facebook which was found by another office. Hughes was placed on restricted duty at the end of January.
