Denton (WBAP/KLIF) The first known case of the UK Covid-19 variant has been detected in Denton County. The variant, which is about 70% more infectious than the original virus, was found in a person with no recent travel history outside the U.S. No further information was released, but Denton County Judge Andy Eads stressed the importance of continuing CDC guidelines for social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing.
