
ARGYLE (WBAP/KLIF)- A former long time Dallas Cowboy tight end will be coaching a local high school football team.
Jason Witten has been named the head coach at Liberty Christian school in Argyle.
Witten, who spent his last season with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 is taking his talents back to North Texas, to Coach.
He’ll sign a one-day contract with the Cowboys in March, to officially retire as a Cowboy, a league source has confirmed.
Witten spent sixteen seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, amassing team records in several statistics, and composing a legendary career.
Liberty Christian confirmed the news on twitter. “It’s a great day to be a Warrior,” the post read.
