DISD Has A Plan To Deal With Learning Regression

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas ISD School Board approved a pair of alternate calendars Thursday night, intended to help students who are falling behind because of the pandemic. DISD says 50% of its students are now worse in math. 30% are worse in reading. During Thursday night’s meeting the school board unanimously accepted two alternates that schools can use instead of the regular school year calendar. Each plan starts the school year earlier, and ends it later. It’s up to individual schools which one they use.
