Patrons Zip-Tied & Duck Taped During Armed Restaurant Robbery in Oak Cliff [WATCH]

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – It was a harrowing scene for patrons and employees of an Oak Cliff restaurant who were victims of three armed robbers over the weekend.

Several workers and two families were inside LuLu’s Authentic Mexican restaurant on Newport Avenue when the men walked early Saturday afternoon.

One victim told WFAA that everyone was ordered to the floor at gunpoint. A waitress who reportedly heard a commotion, emerged from the kitchen to find the adults zip-tied and children’s hands bound with duck tape; guns were pointed at the children’s heads. Another waitress frantically called 9-1-1 from a restroom.

Police, who took 5 minutes to arrive, chased the suspects as the ran out of a back door. They got away with $200 cash from the register and other personal belongings from those inside.

The suspects left behind a container of lighter fluid.

An investigation continues.
