Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – There’s a pricey new problem plaguing Fort Worth’s Wedgwood East neighborhood – sky-rocketing water bills, which have increased up to triple and quadruple the amount of previous bills over the past several months.
The problem apparently started after new digital water meters were installed last spring, according to WFAA.
The city’s water department says the new meters are accurate and that perhaps the old meters were under-registering consumption.
City Councilman Jungus Jordan has called for an investigation.
The problem is being seen in arts of downtown Fort Worth as well.
