Suspected U.S. Capitol Rioter To Be Held In Texas

Sherman (WBAP/KLIF) – A federal judge in Sherman has ordered 58 year old Troy Smocks held in custody until he goes on trial in Washington, DC. Smocks was arrested last Friday for allegedly being part of the riot at the U.S. Capitol Building. He is charged with knowingly and willfully transmitting threats to hunt down and kill democrats, tech executives, and others he identified as cowards and traitors. He faces a possible five year prison sentence if he’s convicted. Smocks reportedly told FBI agents he was there when the Capitol was stormed, but only watched, and did nothing wrong.
