Arlington ISD Approaches 2,000 Cases of Covid-19

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — When the Arlington ISD resumed in-person instruction on Sept. 28 the district created a weekly COVID-19 tracker. As of this past Tuesday there have been 1,996 positive cases throughout the district including 211 cases currently active. Of those 65 COVID-19 victims are staff members and 146 are students.

A Venture High School staff member and a Bowie High School staff member have died from the virus, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The AISD enrolls nearly 60,000 students making it the 11th largest school district in Texas. Parents still have the option to revert back to remote learning if they’re concerned for their children’s safety.
