WASHINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Nestle Prepared Foods is recalling 762,615 pounds of pepperoni hot pockets that may be contaminated with glass and hard plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The frozen snacks were produced from November 13,2020 through November 16,2020.
The 54-oz carton packages contain 12 Nestle “Hot Pockets Brand Sandwiches: Premium Pepperoni Made With Pork, Chicken and Beef Pizza Garlic Buttery Crust” with a “Best Before Feb 2022” date and lot codes 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614, and 0321544614.
The products bears the establishment number “EST. 7721A” inside the USDA mark of inspection and has been shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The FSIS said it received one report of a minor oral injury associated with consumption of the product so far.
The department is urging anyone concerned about an injury or illness to contact a healthcare provider.
Anyone who has purchased this product is urged to throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
