DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Former President George W. Bush plans to attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration later this month.
Bush Chief of Staff Freddy Ford said the former President and his wife Laura look forward to returning to the Capitol on January 20 for the swearing in of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
“I believe this will be the eighth Inauguration they’ve had the privilege of attending, President Trump’s being the most recent, tweeted Ford. “Witnessing the peaceful transfer of power is a hallmark of our democracy that never gets old.”
Despite push back from some Republican leaders, former President Bush congratulated Joe Biden after he was projected the winner of the November election.
