McKINNEY (WBAP / KLIF) The wait list makes it easier to get in line for a COVID-19 vaccination by letting Collin County residents go online to register and be notified of their place in line, and to then be notified when vaccines become available.
The COVID-19 vaccine will be available to Collin County residents who meet the Texas Department of State Health Services requirements for receiving the vaccine.
As of Tuesday, the county has yet to receive any new vaccine shipments, but it gets a short notice on shipments and will post vaccine availability on its website at www.collincountytx.gov.
Collin County Care Service received 1,000 does of the Moderna vaccine last week but that’s only about 6% of the 17,000 doses shipped to pharmacies, hospitals, and health care providers in the county.
Collin County residents are encouraged to contact their primary health care provider and their pharmacy to ask about additional vaccine availability.
