(WBAP/KLIF) — Medical City Healthcare began administering the FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer to front line caregivers in Dallas, Thursday.
Medical City-Dallas emergency room technician Mahesh Thiagarajah received his inoculation, calling it historic. Medical City hospitals received over 6,800 vaccines Thursday, with thousands more expected over the next few days. Registered nurse Karrie Lawson believes it’s the beginning of the end for the Coronavirus pandemic.
Medical City officials encourage the community to continue to wear masks, wash their hands frequently and socially distance until a vaccine is widely available to the public.
