Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The hiring process for the next chief of police in Dallas continues.
The seven finalists answered questions of the city council this week that aired live on the department’s you-tube channel.
Veteran Dallas Police Officers Avery Moore and Malik Aziz touted their experience.
Other candidates include two chiefs of police from out of state and Irving Police Chief Jeff Spivey.
Dallas City Manager T.C. Broadnax will interview the candidates individually today [Thursday] before making a decision some time next week.
Former Chief U. Renee Hall had fallen under increasing scrutiny amid a spike in homicides in Dallas.
