Arlington (WBAP/KLIF) – The mayor of Arlington has been fined $1500 for violating campaign finance laws. The Texas Ethics Commission fined Jeff Williams for breaking the law several times while running for re-election in 2019. Williams’ campaign spokesperson has acknowledged what he says were “oversights.” He says some campaign contributions were taken and reported “in the wrong format or by incorrect entry.” He says problems that lead to those inadvertent violations have been corrected.
