
Dallas-Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Daily COVID-19 cases continue to track in the quadruple digits across North Texas’ biggest counties.
Dallas County reported 1,862 new positive COVID-19 cases and one death on Sunday.
Tarrant County reported 1,537 new cases and 6 additional fatalities. The numbers do not represent the highest numbers in either county but continue several continues days of 1,000-plus days.
Statewide, over 1,094,000 cases and over 20,500 people have died.
The COVID-19 death rate across Texas averages about 1% among people of all ages, but mostly seniors.
Meantime, hospitalizations have ticked up across the state, and Tarrant County may extend its mask mandate for another 30 days past the original November 30 end date.
In Arlington , a family spoke up in a PSA to warn others not to gather in large groups, after 15 members contracted the virus.
