DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas-based non profit is teaming up with Parkland Hospital to allow a childcare service for parents who are sick and need medical care.

Natalie Boyle runs Mommies In Need which is opening up Annie’s Place at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

“It is a ‘Mommies in Need’ program that we are doing in partnership with Parkland that will be a free drop-in childcare center for patients at Parkland so they can receive their necessary medical care,” Boyle said.

The service is geared toward any parent who needs medical care.

“We have a large proportion of cancer patients but then we also have parents who have a high-risk pregnancy and they need to come in for OB appointments,” Boyle said.

Boyle says they hope to eventually branch out to other hospitals in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

The partnership launched Thursday at Parkland.
