According to the Dallas Federal Reserve, the pandemic is negatively impacting the service and retail industry. Texas Jobs grew by 3.6% in the 3rd quarter which is lower than the national average of 11.9%.

According to the Federal Reserve, although the jobs recovery since April has been slower in Texas than the rest of the nation, the overall share of jobs lost in Texas since the beginning of the pandemic is smaller than the rest of the nation.

Participants in a recent survey said they were concerned about a resurgence in Covid-19 cases and the political climate.
