Hospitalizations on the Rise in Dallas

(WBAP/KLIF) — Health officials are eyeing a key statistic as the number of Coronavirus cases rise in North Texas.

Dallas County Health Director Phil Huang is paying close attention to the number of hospitalizations at the 25 hospitals in the Dallas area.  In mid-September 4,003 patients were admitted to the hospital, putting capacity at 68%. on Saturday, that number increased to 76% as 4,484 people required hospitalization.

ICU bed capacity has also increased to 76% in October, up from 55% last month. Ventilator use has risen slightly to 38%.
