Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Senator Kamala Harris Suspends Travel After Two Staffers Test Positive for COVID-19

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) – Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Senator Kamala Harris has canceled travel through Sunday and will suspend in-person events until Monday after two staffers tested positive for coronavirus.

The California Senator’s campaign told reporters her communications director and a traveling staff member for her travel to Arizona are now infected.

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign said he had no exposure, even though he and Harris spent several  hours campaigning together in Arizona October 8th.

Both Harris and Biden were masked at all times in public and their campaigns said they wore masks in private.

The campaigns said the pair have each had several negative COVID-19 tests since then.

Harris had been scheduled to travel to North Carolina today for events urging voters to cast their ballots early.

Biden is scheduled to attend an ABC News town hall airing live tonight at 8 p.m. EDT.

President Trump will attend an NBC News town hall airing live tonight at 8 p.m. EDT.
