Coney Barrett Supreme Court Hearing Is High Stakes For November Election

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF)- The hearing for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett could result in a voters making changes in Congress and the White House come November.

Constitutional Law historian David Coale says there is great incentive for both Democrats and Republicans to dig in at hearing.

“Are the Senators trying to inform each other or they trying to influence our votes at the ballot box? I suspect its our votes and I suspect there is not a lot of mind changing in the senate over the next few days.”

Beyond the political shift, Coale says the senate process is designed to give the public a sense of who the nominee is and what kind of justice they might be for the highest court in the land.
