(WBAP/KLIF) — After over 6.7 million COVID-19 tests in Texas, nearly 786,000 have been returned positive. The Lone Star state reported an additional 3,650 positive Coronavirus test results, Friday, with 957 occurring in North Texas.
Dallas county listed 415 newly confirmed positives, Tarrant county 314, Collin county 83, and Denton county 145, 117 of which are active cases. Dallas county has a combined total of over 85,000 confirmed COVID-19 positive tests since the pandemic began, which is over half of the nearly 170,000 positive results in the Metroplex. Tarrant county has more than 54,000 positives,
Collin county just over 16,000, and Denton more than 14,000 confirmed tests. Of the 2,012 North Texas deaths, 1,047 have been Dallas residents, 690 in Tarrant county, 162 in Collin county, and 113 in Denton. Texas has more than 16,400 pandemic deaths.
